Ayubowan Mask Cushion Cover Maroon Sri Lankan Gift Pillowcase

A familiar greeting, a bold mask and the warmth of deep maroon. This Ayubowan cushion cover brings Sri Lankan-inspired character to a welcoming sofa, favourite chair or cosy reading corner, with gold-toned details and deep green accents that stand out against its rich background.

Part of our Raksha Collection, the design pairs expressive mask artwork with a decorative Ayubowan greeting. Smooth spun polyester, double-sided printing and a concealed beige zipper make it a thoughtful home accent and a meaningful housewarming gift for Sri Lankan family, friends or anyone with a love of the island.

Cover only. Pillow insert not included. The illustration and lettering are professionally printed, not embroidered, hand-painted or metallic foil.

✦ The Inspiration

Inspired by Sri Lanka’s expressive mask art and the warmth of an Ayubowan welcome, this design brings two familiar cultural references into a single composition. The deep maroon palette gives the greeting a rich, inviting setting.

✦ The Sri Lankan Connection

Ayubowan is a Sinhala greeting expressing a wish for long life. Sri Lanka’s mask-making heritage is associated with skilled craftsmanship, performance and ritual traditions. This contemporary printed illustration draws on that visual heritage as decorative artwork, without claiming ceremonial use or protective powers.

✦ The Artwork

A stylised mask features wide round eyes, an open mouth, intricate ornamental details and sweeping flame-like forms in gold-coloured ochre, green and cream. Decorative “Ayubowan” lettering sits beneath the mask against a deep maroon background.

✦ A Message from Home

Some words make a place feel welcoming before you even sit down. Let this familiar greeting hold a little space for Sri Lanka in the home you are creating now.
