Inspired by the Esala Perahera of Kandy — one of the oldest and most spectacular festivals in the world, held annually over ten nights in honour of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha at the Dalada Maligawa.

Dating back over two thousand years, the procession features magnificently adorned elephants, Kandyan dancers, drummers, torch bearers, whip crackers and flag carriers — all moving through the illuminated streets of Kandy as hundreds of thousands of devotees watch in reverence. It is a living expression of Sri Lanka's Buddhist heritage, royal tradition, and communal spirit.
